CSR ACTIVITY - SESSION ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS (5/5 GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, MRC COLONY, FILM NAGAR)
HYDERABAD ON 9th January 2018. This CSR Final Session of Right Parenting Skills Workshop (5/5) this was a nice event with equal participation from parents and teachers of the school. All the parents thanked DQ Smile Foundation and the teachers thanked DQSF for helping them in their work and reiterating the importance of discipline, cleanliness and good habits.
The HM and teachers felt that there was a great need for more of similar kind of sessions and felt that we should conduct workshops of short duration (about 2 hours) for parents and students as well. This would help to bring about the importance of Team work and cohesiveness.
The HM specifically thanked DQ Smile Foundation as the attendance of parents for their meetings has improved a lot because of our sessions.
CSR ACTIVITY - SESSION ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS (5/5 GOVT. SCHOOL,MEKALMANDI)
SECUNDRABAD ON 5th January 2018. This was the final sessions on Right Parenting Skills .we had a good turnout of parents. The school authorities, the HM, teachers and parents appreciated the work of DQ Smile Foundation, specially the Right Parenting Skills Workshop and wanted something different and more in the future.
DQ Smile Foundation gave away Best Parents Awards in the below three categories today:
• Best Performance.
Taking a cue from us, the School also decided to reward their children on the above basis and gave the awards to the parents from their side. It was a humbling moment when the school HM, Mr Mallikarjuna felicitated DQE representatives in front of all the Teachers and parents for the service that we had rendered to the parents of their school.
CSR ACTIVITY - SESSION ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS (4/5 GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, MRC COLONY, FILM NAGAR)
HYDERABAD ON 12th December 2017. This was the fourth out of the five sessions to be held there. Discussed about two important aspects of school life and the role of parents:
• Bullying in school – how to recognize and overcome it.
• Depression and loneliness – recognize, prevent and overcome it.
Parents were able to relate to these topics as I was giving examples for better understanding. A sizeable number of parents turned up for this session and felt that these sessions are doing them good. I also did a recap of all the other sessions that I had previously, so that the parents who did not attend previous sessions would be able to understand the need to understand such sessions in future.
CSR ACTIVITY - SESSION ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS (3/5 GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, MRC COLONY, FILM NAGAR)
HYDERABAD ON 09th November 2017. This session was well attended by ladies and gents. This session was the third out of the five sessions scheduled for the parents of this school:
• Importance of Cleanliness – self and surroundings.
• Importance of being regular and active in school – all-round development needs mental and physical activities.
• Importance of Breakfast, sleep and good habits like speaking the truth, respect for oneself, elders and others, giving a helping hand.
• Need to speak good language, avoid bad words and bad language, parents and children alike.
• Need for educating the girl child.
• Abolishing Child Labour and Right to Education.
• Anger Management.
• Importance of having a good friend and need for friendship.
• Money and how to save – saying NO to junk food and eating healthy food.
The HM and about 5 teachers of the school were also a part of the session.
CSR ACTIVITY - SESSION ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS (4/5 GOVT. SCHOOL, MEKALMANDI)
SECUNDERABAD ON 31st October 2017. This Session was well attended and it was heartening to note that Fathers were also present in large numbers today. As this is the penultimate Session, I had to do a recap of all the previous sessions as well as talk about a few new topics:
• Equal importance to Girls and Boys
• Compulsory education for all children up to 14 years of age – educating girl children is a must – ban child labour.
• Create the right atmosphere – speak and learn from the child what he/ she needs.
• Good habits like respect for elders, getting up early, keeping oneself clean, reading every day, importance of drinking water regularly, little physical activity daily, need for 7-8 hours of sleep daily
• Need and importance of Breakfast
• Discipline in all aspects of life
• Avoid over indulgence everywhere – eating, drinking, smoking, watching TV, gossip.
• Anger management –steps to control anger.
• Say No to Corporal punishment
• Sibling rivalry – how to handle it
• Importance of good friends – need for parents to know their children’s’ friends.
• Spending time with children daily – quality versus quantity.
• 3F’s of parenting – Firm, Fair and Friendly.
• Use of rewards – Positive Parenting.
CSR ACTIVITY - SESSION ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS (2/5 GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, MRC COLONY, FILM NAGAR)
HYDERABAD ON 12th September 2017. CSR Session at Govt. Primary School, Filmnagar was the second in the series of the Right Parenting Skills Workshop (2/5) to be held here. In this session, the topics discussed were as follows :
• Need for parents’ involvement in the all-round development of children
• Why good sleep is essential for children and adults alike
• Sibling rivalry – the plus and minus of it
• Disadvantages of too much TV
• Need and importance of outdoor activity for all round development of children
• How to avoid using children for daily chores – kids need to be kids
• Discourage bad habits like Drinking, Smoking and Gambling – avoid these habits and set a good example.
CSR ACTIVITY - SESSION ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS (3/5 GOVT. SCHOOL, MEKALMANDI) SECUNDERABAD ON 31st August 2017.
The CSR Session today was the third out of the five sessions. On Right Parenting Skills to be held at Govt. School, Mekalmandi, Secunderabad. we talked about:
• Equality between boys and girls, do not show bias towards boys and ignore girls, both are equal
• Anger and simple steps on how to control it
• The need for rules for children - not to spare the rod and spoil the child
• Good habits and how parents have to lead by example and kids would follow
Parents were more than happy to interact and the session received a good feedback from some grandparents who had come for the session. The HM and some teachers were also a part of the session.
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, MRC COLONY, FILM NAGAR, JUBILEE HILLS, HYDERABAD ON 11th August 2017.
A Balika Suraksha Session was conducted at Govt Primary School, MRC Colony, Film Nagar. This school has Classes from I to V. All the girl students from Classes I to V were part of the Session taken by Ms. Spandana. The school teachers and Teach for India teachers also were a part of the Session.
The Session was aimed at creating an awareness among the girls about Good and Bad Touch, need for speaking out when there is an issue and ways to get out in case of any issue. The girls were clearly informed that, if ever there was a case of Bad Touch, the girls were not responsible for it and there was no need to feel guilty or ashamed. It was their primary duty to report such events to their trusted elders and take their advice.
The Session was well received as we explained the concept of Good and Bad Touch through a small skit.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS (1/5 GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, MRC COLONY, FILM NAGAR) HYDERABAD ON 24th July 2017.
Parents, who came for the session were happy that we had chosen to talk on Parenting and would be giving them tips on that. Most of them are daily wage labourers and curiosity made them attend the session.
Today, we talked to them about what the sessions would be about in future and also the need for discipline and the importance of breakfast for children.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS (2/5 GOVT. SCHOOL, MEKALMANDI) SECUNDERABAD ON 13th July 2017.
Even though this session has taken place after a gap, the parents were all ears and happy to welcome us again. As the Session happened after a gap, we did a recap of the topics and spoke about -
- How to send children to school – teeth brushed, bathed, clean nails and hair and neat uniform.
- Importance of breakfast
- Need to do homework regularly
- How to inculcate goo habits in children
- Periodic check by parents with the Teachers on their children’s’ progress
- Negative effects of too much TV.
We reiterated the fact clearly that parents have to be role models if they want their children to become good citizens.

BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT HIGH SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR, BANJARA HILLS, HYDERABAD ON 23rd February 2017.
The Balika Suraksha session held at Govt. High School, NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills for girls of Classes 6 and 7. Both the English and Telugu Media girls, numbering about 90 were part of the session. The session was taken by Ms. Spandana.
Role plays and simple language made the session interactive and interesting. The girls also had interesting questions to ask and got the necessary answers in return.
The HM and the Teachers thanked DQ Smile Foundation for the session.
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL, BALAMRAI, SECUNDERABAD ON 17th February 2017.
The Balika Suraksha Session held at Govt. Girls High School, Rasoolpura, Hyderabad. The session was conducted by Ms. Spandana. Girls from Class 6 and 7 from Telugu as well as English Media numbering about 70 were part of the session. About 5 Lady Teachers were also part of the session.
The school recently got a Digital classroom, therefore, the session was conducted in that room. Girls were shown a power point presentation after talking about Good and Bad Touch. They were asked to identify the different kinds of touches and informed about what they can do when they are exposed to Bad Touch.
The HM thanked DQ Smile Foundation and wanted such sessions for the other Classes too.
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT HIGH SCHOOL, BALAMRAI, SECUNDERABAD ON 10th February 2017.
The Balika Suraksha session was held at Govt. High School, Balamrai, Secunderabad. The session was conducted by Ms. Manisha Dayanand. More than 100 girls from Class 6th to 9th were part of the session. The Lady teachers of the school, numbering 10, also took part in the session.
The concept of Good Touch and Bad Touch was explained through acting (Manisha and Sheela Sirish) and the children liked the session as the language was simple and lucid.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION (1/5 GOVT. HIGH SCHOOL, MEKALMANDI,)
SECUNDERABAD ON 8th February 2017. A fresh session of the Right Parenting Skills Workshop was started at Govt. School, Mekalmandi, Secunderabad. There were more than 120 parents who attended the session today. The HM and some teachers were also present for the session. The entire session was taken by Ms. Sheela Sirish.
As people are becoming more aware about their surroundings, their problems, their rights and duties, they are becoming more vocal and responsive. This session was interactive and lively and went on for about 90 minutes. The parents are looking forward for the next session.
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL
NALLAGUTTA, SECUNDERABAD ON 7th February 2017. The Balika Suraksha session held at Govt Girls High School, Nallagutta, Secunderabad. This is an Urdu Medium High School. So, the session was conducted in Hindi by Ms. Spandana. As the School had an OHP, the session was carried out with the help of a PowerPoint presentation on Good Touch and Bad Touch. Girls from Classes 6,7,8 and 9 participated in the session along with some Teachers.
The Head Mistress thanked DQ Smile Foundation for the informative session.
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT HIGH SCHOOL, BHOIGUDA, SECUNDERABAD ON 3rd February 2017.
The Balika Suraksha session was held at Govt High School, Bhoiguda, Secunderabad. Girl students from Classes 6, 7, 8 and 9th Classes attended the sessions. The teachers and the Headmistress of the school were also part of the session, which was conducted by Ms. Manisha Dayanand.
The session was well received and appreciated by all.
DQSF and Lions Club of Hyderabad, organised a Blood Donation Camp on 25th January 2017.
DQSF and Lions Club of Hyderabad Cosmo together organised a Blood Donation Camp at DQE, DLF on 25th January 2017. Blood donation is considered to be beneficial in a number of ways like preserving cardiovascular health, reducing risk of cancer and also burning calories. A good number of Associates donated blood on this occasion. All the donors were felicitated with Certificates.
The Lions Club of Hyderabad Cosmo appreciated the efforts of DQSF.

NBT NAGAR, BANJARA HILLS ON 17th December 2016. Drawing Competitions were held before the DQ Smile Foundation 8th Anniversary Celebrations. The theme for the Competition was ‘Protect the Environment, ecofriendly habits’.
A number of kids took part in this with a lot of enthusiasm. DQ Smile Foundation recognized the efforts of these children and awarded them with the First, Second and Third prizes

RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION (GOVT. HIGH SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR,BANJARA HILLS)
HYDERABAD ON 15th December 2016. The CSR Activity on 15th Dec 2016 was the final session of the Right Parenting Skills Workshop at Govt. High School, NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. For this session, we had planned to reward three of the parents for the year 2016-17 as Best Parents based on certain criteria like Cleanliness & Hygiene, Attendance and Discipline. The parents, teachers as well as the HM of the school were a part of the program. We also asked a few students to join in the session so that they could listen to their parents talking about the program and how it had changed them. Some of the students spoke about the changes they felt that they saw in their parents and how it has helped them.
The HM of the school was grateful to DQ Smile Foundation and felt that more of such sessions will surely benefit everyone. She advised the parents to be positive and provide a harmonious atmosphere at home for the wellbeing of the children.
PC DONATED TO GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL
BHONGIR ON 30th November 2016. DQSF donated a PC to the students of Govt. Primary School, Bhongir . This is a residential school with about 150 students. The teachers, HM and Mandal Education Officer were extremely grateful to DQSF for this kind gesture.
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL
MALAKPET, HYDERABAD ON 24th November 2016. This CSR Session was held at Govt. Primary School, Wahednagar, Malakpet. The session was taken by Ms. Spandana for girl students of Classes II to V. There were about 70 girls. The HM and lady teachers of the school were also present for the session.
All the students and teachers liked the programme very much and thanked DQSF for their sincere efforts. The members of DQ Smile Foundation, Mr. Nagaprasad and Ms. Sheela Sirish as well as Ms. Spandana were felicitated by the school HM and teachers for helping the student community.
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT. HIGH SCHOOL
NBT NAGAR, BANJARA HILLS ON 22nd November 2016. The CSR Session was held at Govt. High School, NBT Nagar, Hyderabad. This session was for girl students of Classes 8th and 9th. As the audience was teenagers, about 80 of them, the session was lively and Ms Manisha used the question answer cum discussion mode to explain. We also had some role plays and the girls were quite responsive. The session lasted for about 90 minutes.

HYDERABAD ON 10th November 2016. This session was a continuation of the ‘Right Parenting Skills’ Workshop. This session was conducted by Sheela Sirish and Nagaprasad. A good number of parents - close to 90 turned up for the session. The parents had a good idea about what was being discussed and topics that were covered were –
- Importance of personal hygiene in Children
- Significance and importance of Breakfast for Children
- Good manners
- Discipline at home and school
- Value and importance of saving money
- Saying ‘NO’ to bad habits like smoking and drinking

RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION (5/5 GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR, BANJARA HILLS)
HYDERABAD ON 28th September 2016. The final session of the Right Parenting Skills Workshop at Govt Primary School, NBT Nagar was held on 28.9.2016.There was a huge turnout of parents. More than 90 parents and new teachers from the school were also part of the programme. 4 parents were given awards and certificates based on different criteria like discipline, regularity, cleanliness and diligence in their children.
The HM of the school, Ms Rajitha and the teachers thanked DQSF for the Workshop and wanted more of similar programmes for parents as well as children.
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL
MEKALMANDI, SECUNDERABAD ON 20th September 2016. The CSR Session BALIKA SURAKSHA program was conducted at Govt Primary School, Mekalmandi, Secunderabad. The session was conducted by Ms.Manisha Dayanand. About 85 kids were part of the program and the participants were students of Classes III, IV, and V. Some of the younger teachers of the school also took part in the program and felt that such awareness programs were very essential for all the girl children !
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL
SHAIKPET, HYDERABAD ON 16th September 2016. The CSR Session was held at Govt. Primary School, Shaikpet for girl children – Balika Suraksha program. There were about 100 girls from Classes III to V. Manisha and Spandana delivered the program as a Team. The program went on for an hour and a half. Today’s children are quite smart and already knew about ‘Good touch’ and ‘Bad touch’ As Manisha had used a PPT with pictures, the session was entertaining and lively.
Three teachers from the school were also part of the program. After the program, the teachers were very appreciative of the program and wanted a follow up after 6 months.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 4/5 - GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR, BANJARA HILLS)
HYDERABAD ON 24th August 2016. A CSR Session was held at Govt. Primary School, NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on 24.8.2016 from 1.45 pm. This was a continuation of the Right Parenting Skills Workshop – this was the fourth session in this school. This session was conducted in Telugu and Hindi by Nagaprasad and Sheela Sirish.
The topics that were discussed were - The role of parents – mother as well as father, in the upbringing of children, importance of good manners and behavior, how to inculcate discipline in children, importance of physical and mental well-being for children and adults and encouraging girls to be educated and treated on par with boys. Everybody had heard about PV Sindhu and Sakshi Mallik, so it was easier to tell them the relevance of education and respect for girls.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 3/5 - GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL, BJR NAGAR)
HYDERABAD ON 20th August 2016. The CSR Session at Govt. Primary School, BJR Nagar, Hyderabad was held on 20.8.2016 from 9.30 am. The session was conducted by Nagaprasad and Sheela Sirish. The topics covered were the importance of discipline in children, good habits, need and importance of breakfast for school going children, anger management, going to bed early and waking up early and need for parents to talk to their children for at least 10 minutes every day.
The parents were responsive and listened for about an hour. A number of new parents who were also present wanted more of such sessions. The School HM and teachers were also part of the programme.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 3/5 - GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL, AMBEDKAR NAGAR, JUBILEE HILLS)
HYDERABAD ON 11th August 2016. The CSR Activity on 11.8.2016 was held at Govt. Primary School, Ambedkar Nagar, Hyderabad. This was the 3rd session in this school and parents were quite attuned to the topics and open about their problems. Discussions on topics like the importance of breakfast & outdoor activities for children and the need to come to school regularly were conducted.
Ms Aparna Thota was invited as the Guest Speaker and she also interacted with the parents.
BALIKA SURAKSHA @ ASHRAY AKRUTI
SRINAGAR COLONY, HYDERABAD ON 8th August 2016. The CSR Activity on 8.8.2016 held at Ashray Akruti, Srinagar Colony, Hyderabad was a new concept – ‘ Balika Suraksha ’- a program for girl children to prevent sexual harassment, abuse and assault. This lecture was delivered by Ms Manisha Dayanand and Ms Pallavi.
Ashray Akruti is a registered nonprofit, non-religious organization working for hearing impaired children from underprivileged backgrounds. This organization was established in 1996 and has a residential school for hearing impaired children. The session had about 35 girls in the age group of 8 -12 years. These girls have hearing and speech defects and therefore, we had to use an Interpreter to convey the message across. A PPT on Good Touch & Bad Touch was used to explain the concept and this use of visual aid was really helpful to the children.
The Director, Mr Babu and all the staff members were also part of the session and appreciated the work done by DQSF.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 3/5 - GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL, SHAIKPET )
HYDERABAD ON 3rd August 2016. DQ Smile Foundation held a session on Right Parenting Skills at Govt Primary School, Shaikpet, Hyderabad on 03-Aug-16. This is a continuation of the Right Parenting Skills workshop(Session # 3) that was started in Feb 2016. This session was taken by Ms Jaya L Coppisetty, who is an accomplished trainer with many years of experience.
The session attracted a crowd of more than 70 parents. The session was well received by the parents and teachers with a demand for more of such sessions in future.
CSR ACTIVITY AT KOLKATA - VISIT TO HOPE FOUNDATION ON 30th May 2016
DQ Smile Foundation visited Hope Foundation Kolkata on 30th May 2016. The Hope Kolkata Foundation (HKF) was established in February 1999 for the protection and safety of children on the streets. It works by giving shelter, education, health and medical care as well as life skills training to most of them.
Our Associates spent some time with the children and conducted few cultural programs. DQSF donated rice bags and essential provisions as requested by them.
The Management of the Foundation thanked DQSF for having spent time with the children and giving their children such a beautiful day.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 2/5 - GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL, SHAIKPET )
HYDERABAD ON 13th April 2016. DQ Smile Foundation held a session on Right Parenting Skills at Govt Primary School, Shaikpet, Hyderabad on 13-Apr-16. This was the second session in this school. The response was very good and more than 100 parents attended this session. Most of the participants were able to relate to the topic - Anger and its management. The session was conducted by Ms Manisha and Nagaprasad.
The Head Master and the Teachers were also a part of this session and felt that such sessions are really the need of the hour !
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 3/5 - GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR )
BANJARA HILLS, HYDERABAD ON 7th April 2016. The CSR Session on 7.Apr.2016 was conducted at Govt Primary School, NBT Nagar, Banajara Hills. The session was conducted by Ms Manisha and Ms Spandana. Around 24 parents attended the session out of which about 8 were men. The topic for discussion was Discipline and how to impart Discipline to children.
Parents and teachers are happy with the work being done by DQSF
CSR ACTIVITY - SELF MANAGEMENT AT GOVT HIGH SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR,
BANJARA HILLS, HYDERABAD ON 6th April 2016. DQSF conducted the CSR Activity on self-management at Govt High School, NBT Nagar. It was a unique activity as the school authorities requested DQSF to do a session for the Class 10 students (students who passed Class 9 recently) instead of parents.
They had a visit from the Govt. Officials and Deputy DEO, who requested DQSF to do a session for the students.
Ms Manisha addressed the Class 10 students, who were about 60 in number.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 2/5 - GOVT HIGH SCHOOL, AMBEDKAR NAGAR )
JUBILEE HILLS, HYDERABAD ON 31st March 2016. DQSF conducted a session on Right Parenting Skills at Govt Primary School, Ambedkar Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The topics like nurturing good habits in children, ill-effects of watching TV and Anger Management were discussed among all the parents.
We had about 32 parents attended the session. The parents and teachers appreciated the efforts of DQ Smile Foundation.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 2/5 - GOVT HIGH SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR )
HYDERABAD ON 29th March 2016. DQSF conducted a CSR Session on Right Parenting Skills at Govt. High School, NBT Nagar on 29.3.2016. About 30 parents attended the session, out of which 12 were men. This session was devoted to Anger, its causes and control measures exclusively. This session was conducted by Ms.Spandana and lasted for 70 minutes approximately.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 2/5 - GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL, BJR NAGAR )
HYDERABAD ON 28th March 2016. DQSF conducted the second session of Right Parenting Skills Workshop at Govt Primary School, BJR Nagar. The parents turnout was not so good - there were about 22 parents, out of which 8 were men. This session was exclusively on Anger and its Management. Even though the number of men in the audience was only 8, they took an active part in today's discussion. As part of the session, role-plays were conducted and the session was taken by Ms Spandana. The session lasted for an hour.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 2/5 - GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR )
HYDERABAD ON 22nd March 2016. CSR Activity - Right Parenting Skills Workshop was conducted on 22-Mar-2016 at Govt Primary School, NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills, exclusively on Anger Management.
- What is Anger?

The session started at 9.15 am and went on till 10.40am. The parents turnout was good - around 65 parents, out of which about 26 were men.
The session was interactive as everybody was able to relate to the topic easily. There were also some role-plays by Manisha and Spandana to make the topic easy to understand.

This group of parents was very active and made session lively. It was encouraging to hear ladies as well asking questions and answering our queries.

HYDERABAD ON 24th February 2016. CSR Activity - Right Parenting Skills Workshop conducted at Govt Primary School, BJR Nagar, Film Nagar. We had about 40 parents attended for the session, out of which 6 were men.
Parents were curious to know what the sessions would be about at the beginning and showed keen interest to be part of the ongoing sessions.

RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS SESSION ( 1/5 - GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR,BANJARA HILLS),
HYDERABAD ON 23rd February 2016. CSR Activity - Right Parenting Skills Workshop was conducted at Govt Primary School, NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills was attended by about 60 parents.
The teachers and team from Teach for India coordinated with the students and parents and saw to it that the session was well attended and completed successfully.
CSR ACTIVITY AT OLD AGE HOME IN SRIKAKULAM, ANDHRA PRADESH ON 17th February 2016.
Mr P. Srinivasa Rao, an engineer by profession has built an Old Age Home in a tribal area called Pattupuram of Srikakulam district for widows, orphans and poor senior citizens of that area.
Mr. Rao has built the Home in memory of his mother. This is the first of its kind in that area and therefore, a much needed facility for the people there.
The Home was inaugurated on 17th Feb 2016 and DQSF was represented by Mr. Nagaprasad on this occasion.
This home has a capacity to intake about 50 inmates. DQSF will support the activities of this Home in future.
SESSION ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS ( 1/5 - GOVT. HIGH SCHOOL, NBT NAGAR,BANJARA HILLS),
HYDERABAD ON 11th February 2016. CSR Activity - Right Parenting Skills Workshop was conducted at Govt School, NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills was attended by more than 70 parents. The session started at 8.30 am and went on till 10.15 am. The School In charge, the HM and some teachers were also part of the programme.
The session was interactive and all of them appreciated DQSF's gesture of imparting the Right Parenting Skills to them. They were open to learning and also happy that someone has come forward to educate them on these aspects. Surprisingly, a large number of gents also turned up.
The School In charge and HM were active participants and have promised their full support in this initiative.
DQ SMILE FOUNDATION CONDUCTED AN ORIENTATION SESSION FOR THE SCHOOL STUDENTS AND
TEACHERS OF THE GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, SHAIKPET, HYDERABAD ON 30th January 2016. The school has about 510 students and a dozen teachers. DQSF along with Ms. Manisha Dayanand and Ms Spandana, addressed the children and teachers separately. The importance of being good, need for discipline in daily life and being regular to school were stressed upon while talking to the students. From the teachers, we were able to understand the problems faced by them while working at the school daily.
The session was interactive with the kids, about 150 of them, participating actively in the discussion.
MAKE A WISH PROGRAMME AT THE HOME FOR THE AGED 18th December 2015.
Make a Wish programme which consists of cultural events like carols, drama and dance for the inmates of the Home for the Aged. Every year, DQSF and Associates from DQ become a part of this programme which is organised before Christmas.
This is also the time when all the caretakers and nuns of the Home are given gifts as a token of gratitude for their selfless service to all the inmates. This year, members from the HR Team and some Associates took part in this programme and witnessed the joy on the faces of the Senior citizens of the Home.
A DONATION DRIVE IN SUPPORT OF CHENNAI FLOOD VICTIMS 11th December 2015.
The drive organized by DQ Smile Foundation in support of Chennai Flood victims in the first week of Dec 2015 was a huge success.
Associates contributed a lot of items like rice bags, dals, oil, wheat flour, biscuits for children, blankets and clothes for men and women, tea powder, sugar, salt and other essential commodities. All these items were sent via trucks to the flood affected areas on 11th Dec 2015 evening.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP @ DQ-DLF 28th August 2015.
DQSF and Lions Club of Hyderabad Cosmo together organized a Blood Donation Camp at DQ, DLF on 28th Aug 2015. More than 100 Associates donated blood on this occasion. All the Donors were felicitated with Certificates.
Blood donation is considered to be beneficial in a number of ways like preserving cardiovascular health, reducing risk of cancer and also burning calories!
The Lions Club of Hyderabad Cosmo appreciated the efforts of DQSF for their timely support in this noble cause.
DONATION OF SCHOOL UNIFORMS 30th July 2015
DQ Smile Foundation organized a CSR Activity on 30th July 2015.distributed school uniforms to children of Alpha School at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. This school is unique in the sense that education is free and students are children of poor labourers, migrant workers and the like. This school is run by Ms Shobha Rani, who is doing a great service along with a few young men and women who are volunteering as teachers. The school has about 100 students and all of them under the age of 10.
The children were happy on getting uniforms to wear to school every day. Some of the parents who were present and Ms Shobha Rani thanked DQ Smile Foundation for their donation.
DONATION AND ACTIVITIES AT SUKANYA 25th May 2015 DQ Smile Foundation organized a CSR Activity on 25th May 2015 at "SUKANYA", a home for underprivileged girls at Kolkata, with a total number of around 60 inmates and conducted different competitions like drawing and dancing. The inmates were awarded for best performances in group dance and drawing competition. DQ Smile Foundation also donated A Celling Fan, provisions like bags of Rice, Dal, Wheat flour, Sugar, Tooth pastes & tooth brushes as well as Cooking Oil etc.

More than 400 children and 60 parents attended this session. The school children entertained the audience with delightful dance recitals and songs. The mla, mlc and mr sagar, the tv star appreciated dq smile foundation for the unique concept and encourgaed the team to carry on the good work. The award winning parents were happy to be a part of the program and wanted to thank dq smile foundation for the workshops. DONATION OF RS. 20,000 to a baby boy Jan 2015 The baby boy of Mr and Mrs Solanki was born pre-mature in the 7th month and ever since then has been suffering a lot of complications including hole in the windpipe where in the food is not going into the stomach and had to be operated nearly three times. He was shifted from the nursing home to Wockhardt Hospital in Mira Road, Mumbai and as the parents could not afford the expensive treatment they have now shifted the baby to Wadia Hospital where the treatment is being done a very nominal costs. Both baby's father and grandfather are tailors and come from the low income group. The baby's mother is a housewife. The parents sold of all the jewels and other possessions to pay for the bill, but they were still short of money and approached DQSF. DQSF has been gracious to kindly extend help to the baby and donate Rs. 20,000/- to meet a part of the costs.
RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS AT the Govt School, Filmnagar 25th Nov 2014 The CSR Nov 2014 activity was conducted on 25th Nov 2014 at the Govt School, Filmnagar. In continuation to the Right Parenting Skills workshop, we started the session at 3.30 pm and there were about 35 parents. Though the number was not so large, the parents who came took active part in the discussions yesterday. The session got over at 5 pm.
Some of the issues that we covered were -
1. Inculcating good habits in children - getting up early, cleanliness with respect to self, books and surroundings, speaking the truth, doing their homework daily and reading, benefits of less TV and more outdoor activities etc.,.
2. For the parents - controlling anger, practice what they preach(e.g. - if TV is a no for the kids, then, parents should set the example), avoid smoking and drinking in front of the kids, creating a suitable atmosphere for kids to study and grow, sibling rivalry, maintaining good relations within the family and neighbours, spending quality time(even 10 minutes per day) with children and telling them about the good things in life, to develop role models.
About 50 parents attended the session and wanted more such sessions in the future.
SESSION-II ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS AT GOVT.HIGH SCHOOL, FILM NAGAR ON TUESDAY, 26th AUG 2014. The CSR Activity in Aug 2014 was held on 26th at Govt School, Film Nagar from 3.30pm to 5 pm. As this was the second session on Right Parenting Skills, parents were asked to explain the common difficulties that they face with school going children. Basic good manners, discipline at home and school, behaviour with peers and elders were some of the topics that were explained to the parents.
About 50 parents attended the session and wanted more such sessions in the future.
INTRODUCTORY SESSION ON RIGHT PARENTING SKILLS AT GOVT.HIGH SCHOOL, FILM NAGAR ON FRIDAY.18th JUL 2014 DQ Smile Foundation conducted an introductory session on Right Parenting Skills at Govt. High School, Film Nagar on 18th July 2014. This session was conducted by Nagaprasad and Sheela Sirish. Around 80 parents attended this program. The parents and the school authorities were thankful to DQ Smile Foundation and were keen to attend the remaining sessions in large numbers.
Donation to Heal-a-Child-FoundationApirl 2014 DQ Smile Foundation donated Rs 50,000(Rupees Fifty thousand only) to Heal-a-Child-Foundation(www.heal-a-child.org) to save Baby Sana. This baby is about 7 months old and needed urgent Liver transplant which would cost about Rs 15 lakhs. DQSF offered to help by donating Rs 50,000 to Heal-a-Child for the cause.
Workshop on right parenting skills 12th March 2014
The final session of ' Right Parenting Skills' workshop was held on 12th Mar 2014 at NATCO School, Borabanda. This event had a turnout of about 180 parents and the school authorities as well. The Deputy DEO of the Khairatabad Mandal, Mr Venkateshwar Rao also attended the programme. The Head Mistress and teachers of the school who helped us to make this programme a success were also part of the programme. Media personnel from Gemini TV and Swathi News covered the event for their channel. Newspapers like Sakshi, Andhrajyothi and Eenadu wrote about the event and the articles appeared in the 13th Mar 2014 edition.
All the parents appreciated the programme that was conducted in the school for the last 5 months and wanted us to continue meeting them and teaching them. Many of them admitted to have learnt some useful points from each of the programmes conducted in the school.
The Awards were given away by the Head Mistress of the school, Mrs D Annamma and the teachers.
Visit to Manchikalalu Orphanage 28 th February 2014 On 28th Feb 2014, the members of DQSF had been to Manchikalalu, an organisation that houses orphans and underprivileged boys and distributed some provisions to the children there. The children helped to unload the provisions and looked like a happy lot. There were about 25 kids that evening - ranging from 7 years to 22 years. They have an In charge, Mr. Ramesh, who stays in the same place along with the kids. It was heartening to know that some of the kids who had taken shelter in that place had learnt a few skills like Dancing & Painting. They had learnt to stand on their own feet as well as given employment to some more kids from there.
Workshop on right parenting skills (session #4) at Natco Govt. School, Borabanda on 29th January 2014
The IV session of 'Right Parenting Skills' at NATCO school, Borabanda on 29th Jan 2014, was one of the loudest sessions as a good number of parents attended this session and had some healthy arguments and discussions ! About 130 parents turned up for the session and surprisingly, about 30 of them were men ! Today we stressed on the importance of educating girls and taught the parents some stress busting exercises through deep breathing.
Parents were supportive about educating girl children and promised to change their attitude towards girls, more so the fathers ! It was heartening to hear one of the fathers' admit that he had been partial to his son till then but promised to change his attitude towards his daughters from that day !
Visit to the home for the aged, Musheerabad on 19th December 2013 DQ Smile Foundation team members participated in the Christmas celebrations conducted by Family Services for the inmates of the Home for the Aged, Musheerabad.

Donation Of 100 Kgs Of Rice To Abhayakshethram, Renigunta, Chittoor. June 2013
DQSF donated 100 Kgs of rice to Abhayakshethram (www.abhayakshethram.org) in Renigunta, Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh.
Abhayakshethram is run by Dr Thasleem and provides residential care to mentally challenged, visually impaired, hearing impaired, locomotor impaired children and Senior citizens. There are more than 150 inmates in the Home and all their daily and medical needs are met at the Home.
The Staff who look after the inmates are also physically challenged and therefore, understand them better.
Donation Of Dining Tables To Family Services May 2013 Family Services a familiar NGO in Hyderabad is setting up an English Medium School called "Holy Child English Medium School" for the underprivileged children of Dommora Pochampally Village of Qutubullapur Mandal, near Dindugal. DQ Smile Foundation donated 10 Dining Tables to Family Services for usage in the above mentioned school.

Best Parent Award Ceremony August 2012
DQ Smile Foundation presented awards for 'Best Parents' in the government schools of Mekalamandi & Sunnambatti in recognition of their changed attitude towards their wards' education. Hatim Adenwala, Senior Vice President - HR along with the Project Director, Rajiv Vidya Mission, P. Susheendra Rao presented the awards for the child's attendance, tidy appearance, education, and discipline. The awarding function marked the completion of FIVE MONTHLY sessions of 'Parenting Skills Workshops'.
The parents were from lower income group who misdirected their anger and daily frustrations towards children, and subjected them to daily beatings. DQ Smile Foundation explained them how it was wrong, and gave them many other kinds of disciplining techniques through these workshops. The importance of children's education was drilled in, with examples close to life. Also brought home were the harmful effects of spoiling children with money, overdose of television and domestic squabbles. Importance of cleanliness and discipline were stressed. Close to 100 parents attended these Counselling sessions.

The Right Parenting sessions are part of the workshop series. Teachers & parents of the students in the respective schools were trained over the importance of right parenting skills. These sessions were planned to aim for a change in the thought process of the teachers, parents and ultimately the students. Two followup sessions of "Workshop on importance of parenting skills" were conducted in Sunnambatti (22-06-12) & Mekalamandi (23-06-12).These sessions were planned to aim for a change in the thought process of the teachers, parents and ultimately the students. Teachers and parents of the students in the respective schools were trained over the importance of right parenting skills. There was a significant rise in the number of participants from the earlier sessions in both the schools. The school authorities were very glad to share a positive response on the sessions which has resulted in the development of the attendance and hygiene of the students.

A free mega medical camp was conducted by DQ Smile Foundation and Perfect Aid on friday 25th May 2012 in Chelmeda village, Ramayampet, Medak district. DQ Smile Foundation Team had visited the Mother's Nest Society, Kolkata on 10th April 2012. The team conducted Drawing competitions, Magic Show and various other games for the inmates. We have donated Groceries (Rice, Dal, Edible Oil) for the home. The team also distributed prizes for the winners of the events. The Associates and Webel DQ students enjoyed a lot and had a memorable time spent with the inmates of the House.

DQ Smile Foundation along with Ms. Manisha Dayanand, a noted psychologist, conducted a workshop on ‘Right parenting skills’ for parents, teachers and the children of Govt. School, Mekalmandi, Secunderabad on 24th Feb, 2012. The event was well attended by parents, teachers, children and media as well. In fact, DQ Smile Foundation has received several requests from other Govt. Schools to conduct similar programmes.

This home houses children who have lost both parents, Single parent children, children from below poverty line, children of physically and mentally challenged parents, HIV affected children, street and abandoned children. A Team from DQE visited the Home and spent time with the children.

DQ Smile Foundation has donated a computer to the Govt. Primary School, Mekalamandi - Musheerabad. Our associates have conducted around 15 Activities & Events on 25th January 2012 for the occasion of Indian Republic Day. Prizes were distributed to all the winners.
The Academic & Management Staff along with Regional Educational Officers lauded all our associates who have participated in the event and conducted the activities. They have also requested DQ Smile Foundation for conducting such events in future too.

DQ Smile Foundation and Family Services, Hyderabad organized an event before Christmas at The Home for the Aged, Musheerabad on 22nd Dec 2011. Under the aegis of “Make a Wish programme”, all the inmates of the Home witnessed a range of cultural programmes performed by children from a nearby home. The Senior citizens enjoyed the evening amidst tea and cakes.
DQE Associates Ch.Rahul Reddy, K.Sai Kishore, Javeed Mohammed, Manikanda Prabhu, P Bhaskar, D.Satish Kumar, Nikhil, Subhajit Dutta and Jyothi Swaroop were also present for this event and to spread the spirit of Christmas and New Year. All of them lent a helping hand and made the Senior citizens feel comfortable and relaxed. On the whole, it was a pleasant evening and all of us went home feeling good.

DQ Smile Foundation organized a Free Dental and Medical Camp at Govt. School, Parvatanagar, Madhapur, Hyderabad on 26th Nov’11. There are close to 200 students utilised this facility and we distributed toothpaste, brushes and medicines to all the students. Local NGO’s and volunteers participated in this event and appreciated the efforts of DQ Smile Foundation.

DQ Smile Foundation celebrated “The Joy of Giving Week” on 30th September 2011 at “Mother’s Nest Oldage Home” Near Sree Colony, Neredmet X Roads, Secunderabad.
Mother’s Nest is started as a tender care Home for the old aged and the destitute persons who need love and care from society at large and it was started with an unique concept to give love and care for the aged and the destitute. It also has great ambition to help these persons to come out of their frustrations or grievances and live a dignified life and help the Society in many ways.

DQSmile Foundation conducted a free Medical Camp at Banjara Basti, Hyderabad on 31st July 2011. More than 100 families utilised the facilities that were offered at the Medical Camp. Associates from different locations also attended this Camp.
MASTER LOKESH ("Suffering from Encephalitis")
Master Lokesh aged 9 months was admitted in Nice Hospital. He was suffering from Encephalitis.His parents are very poor - his father is a labourer working for daily wages. He could not at afford the cost of the treatment which was worth Rs 1.5 Lakhs. DQ Smile Foundation donated Rs. 1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand) through Heal a Child Foundation, Hyderabad on 27th July 2011. Now, Lokesh is recovering and much better.
MEDICAL CAMP AT KANDI VILLAGE May 2011
DQ Smile Foundation organized a Medical Camp at Kandi Village, Sangareddy Dist on 22.5.2011. Doctors from Axon Hospital, Ameerpet were part of the Camp and people from in and around Sangareddy attended the Camp. Medical Camp - Bhavanapuram, Srikakulam Dist March 2011
DQSmile Foundation and Kalinga Welfare Society,Hyderabad jointly organised Mega Medical camp on 13th March 2011 at Bhavanapuram Village,Srikakulam Dist. This medical camp was meant for Rural Tribal villagers who are really not having minimum medical facilities at their place.10 specialist doctors from various places participated and close to 1800 people from around this village came and utilised this medical camp. Lunch was also provided to all who attended this camp.
The Old Age Home in Musheerabad December 2010
DQ Smile Foundation and Family Services Hyderabad together conducted "Make a Wish programme" for the 125 Old inmates of the Old Age Home in Musheerabad on 11th December 2010.
They were treated to a cultural programme with dances, a skit and Carol singing. All the inmates were given gifts for Christmas on behalf of DQ Smile Foundation.
Govt School for the Blind in Gadwal December 2010
DQ Smile Foundation donated a Washing machine to Nagarani's school in Gadwal. Nagarani is the first blind girl in India to be awarded the National Bal Bhavan's Bal Shree Award by the Honourable President of India, Mrs. Pratibha Patil. Nagarani was born blind and is presently, a student of Class X at Residential School for the Blind at Gadwal. She is just 14 years old !
She has taken training in classical dance- Bharatnatyam from Guru Vijayalakshmi at Bal Bhavan, Gadwal. She started learning to dance just a year ago and has been able to give stage performances at State and National levels in such a short time ! She aspires to perform in different countries and in International events too ! Nagarani is a source of inspiration to hundreds of physically challenged children. According to her - 'Blindness cannot be deterred by determination' !
Residents of Narsapur Village, Medak District , Andhra Pradesh November 2010
A Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant in loving memory of Mr. Biswanath Das was installed and inaugurated on the 28th Oct 2010 at Narsapur village. Medak District, Andhra Pradesh by Rotarian Rajalakshmi ( District Governor, RI District 3150) along with Sri Thumkunta Narsareddy ( M.L.A Gajwel) and Rtn. Madhubabu ( President RCHE 3150).
The water plant will be catering to around 20,000 people in and around the village by providing "fluoride less" water. The plant will be maintained by the village and a can of water (20 litres) will be sold at Rs. 2 /-. DQ Smile Foundation supported this noble cause by donating a part of the cost incurred.

Gayatri College of Science and Management, Srikakulam conducted a Job Mela on 27th and 28th Nov'10 at Srikakulam with the support of DQ Smile Foundation. More than 1260 graduates and postgraduates attended the Mela.
Akshay Akruti Students October 2010
Akshay Akruti is an organization that was started with the objective of imparting special hearing practices to the hearing-challenged children through modern methods and techniques. It caters to children with hearing impairments from the age of 3 to 15 years.
At present, Akshay Akruti runs a training school of Animation for the hearing impaired teenagers. As a part of the CSR Activity, few of the Associates from DQE who are either deaf or dumb / hearing impaired visited the training school on 22nd Oct'10. It was an unique initiative that encouraged the physically challenged associates of DQE to come out as Role models for other physically challenged kids aspiring to enter in to the animation industry. An entire day was spent by the associates of DQE to share their technical know how on the animation industry. There was a healthy interaction through which the students of Akshay Akriti were highly motivated and learnt a lot of new things through this technical knowledge sharing session.
Slum dwellers at Paravatanagar October 2010
Motinagar Division Parvatanagar Community Hall which witnessed a free Medical Camp on 31 st October 2010 received a good response. The Camp was organized by DQ Smile Foundation and supported by Sri Sai Hospital and Positive Homeopathy, Hyderabad.
This Camp conducted all kinds of medical tests and patients were given free allopathic and homeopathic medicines. Close to 200 people utilized the services for getting medical tests done .
Slum Dwellers at Banjara Basti September 2010
Recent rains in Hyderabad increased the threat of spreading epidemics and other deceases across Hyderabad and the slum dwellers are the people who are usually hit very badly by these epidemics. DQ Smile foundation took the initiative to spread the awareness in the minds of the people that "Prevention is better than cure" and conducted free medical camps for the slum dwellers at Banjara Basti and provided free medicines for arround 250 people who were suffering from health issues.
The dwellers of Banjara Basti were grateful to DQ Smile Foundation and extended their gratitude for conducting such an useful camp.

DQ Smile foundation along with the help of Lions club Hyderabad Cosmo and ITMR Blood Bank conducted a blood donation camp at all DQE facilities across Hyderabad. Many associates were encouraged to donate blood for a noble cause.

Free Drinking Water Supply May 2010
In the month of May 2010 where Summer was at its peak, there was scarcity of drinking water in several areas within Hyderabad. Banjara Basti located near Venkatagiri, adjacent to Annapurna Studios is on of those areas where more than 1500 poor people suffered with the scarcity of drinking water.
DQ Smile Foundation supplied free drinking water from 17th May 2010 to 31st May 2010.
Dental Check up for Children in Swayamkrushi May 2010
DQ Smile Foundation and Positive Dental Clinic jointly conduct a free Dental Check up for all the children at Swayamkrushi, Secunderabad on 17th May 2010.
Positive Dental Sciences Private Limited is one of the reputed chains of dental clinics in Andhra Pradesh. It was formed in the year 2007. It is a sister concern of the Positive Group of Hospitals.
Swayamkrushi, a voluntary organisation located in Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh, is dedicated to the rehabilitation and integration of adults with developmental disabilities. Established in 1991, it was the only institution of its kind in India and has spearheaded the movement to increase the awareness and inclusion of adults with developmental challenges in the community.
The delivery model aims in building and developing a symbiotic relationship with disabled individuals and their immediate community. This has helped bridge the existing social and emotional chasms and has proved to be a big success and the approach is only of its kind in India.
LV Prasad Eye Institute April 2010
DQE Smile Foundation presented a cheque to LV Prasad Eye Institute on 29th Apr´10. This Institute helps children of retinoblastoma, a fatal eye cancer that may cause the children to die unless they arrive early at the hospital for diagnosis and treatment.
Every year, about 150 newly diagnosed young babies and toddlers seek treatment for retinoblastoma at L V Prasad Eye Institute. The money donated will be used by the Institute to help provide snacks and toys to very young children who suffer from retinoblastoma and create a better hospital experience for the toddlers.
Visit to Ashritha Children's Home, Kompally, Hyderabad March 2010
A team from DQE under the initiative of DQ Smile visited Ashritha Children's Home in Kompally on 18th March 2010. This Home was set up in July, 2008.It provides care and education for orphan children, as well as children from single parent homes or from economically poor background. At this Home, free education as well as boarding and lodging is provided for all the children. Currently, there are 54 children residing at this Home. The children are between the ages of 8 to 14 years. The children are given in-house education till 5th standard with the assistance of 5 dedicated teachers, while 14 of the older children studying 6th, 7th & 8th standard go to a nearby school and are given extra tutoring in the evening. The older children also have regular computer classes and vocational training on an ongoing basis.
The DQE Team spent about 3 hours with the kids-playing games and listening to the children. They distributed sweets and chocolates to the children and the inmates of the Home. They also gave gift hampers & eatables for the children.
Utensils Donation at Government High School March 2010
DQ Smile Foundation donated steel plates on 31st March 2010 for the Mid Day Lunch Scheme as a part of the CSR activity for the month of March 2010. There are 250 students studying in the Government High School, adjacent to Krishna Kanth Park, beside Saibaba Temple, Jawahar Nagar, Hyderabad.

Stay safe Signature Campaign November 2009
The STAY SAFE campaign is dedicated to spreading public awareness on the prevalence of the issue of Child Sexual Abuse in Andhra Pradesh. They aim to educate and empower children, parents, professionals, and approach lawmakers on how to prevent its occurrence and respond effectively to the problems.
STAY SAFE is advocating and lobbying for more stringent punishment for offenders and quicker justice to save the young ones from the trauma. STAY SAFE is actively working with children who have been sexually abused by providing them counseling, medical and legal assistance, along with care and protection. DQ Smile Foundation took part in this campaign to show solidarity to the cause and signed for prevention of child abuse.
Swayamkrushi Stalls at Hotel Marriot & DQE October 2009
Swayamkrushi's mission is to house and train mentally challenged adults before facilitating their employment and independent living within the community. They will be trained on making several hand made items like Dias, envelops, carry bags, note books and table covers.
DQ Smile Foundation sponsored a stall in Hotel Marriot for Swayamkrushi to display and sell the products done by the mentally challenged adults. Few stalls were also set up in all the locations of DQE on the eve of Diwali.
Relief Work at Rajolu Mahabubnagar October 2009
The torrential rains have battered the livelihood of many Andhrites. The thunderstorms and devastating floods left thousands of people lacking basic needs like food & shelter. A rapid rise of epidemics is on prowl. Tons of Debris has settled across the domestic areas with the subsiding flood water levels. Basic Transport facilities & other infrastructure facilities like power & safe drinking water are still affected.
As a part of DQE's ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility drive, DQ SMILE FOUNDATION has distributed Relief Material for the RAJOLU VILLAGE, MAHABUBNAGAR. Around 500 grief stricken families in Rajolu Village have benefited in this Noble Drive. Blankets, Mosquito Nets & Medical Kits were distributed on 16th October 2009. All relief material was procured by DQ SMILE FOUNDATION through the contributions made by our associates.
